    So now Papi wants to be lovey-dovey?

    A month ago, Boston was a sh*thole and he wasn’t sure he wanted to play here anymore (http://fullcount.weei.com/sports/boston/baseball/red-sox/2012/06/21/opinion-david-ortiz-wrong-guy-to-deliver-message). Yesterday he was pissed off about his contract (http://boston.cbslocal.com/2012/07/05/toucher-rich-ortiz-hits-no-400-but-complains-about-contract). Today he’s thanking all the fans for their love and support.

    Trying to stay abreast of Papi’s fluctuating attitudes reminds me of the general in “Full Metal Jacket” in this scene with Private Joker:
